Our Pastors

Pastor Jeffery W. Haynes, along with his wife, Pastor Vermonica Haynes, are the founders of United Family Worship Center in Baker, Louisiana, established in 2013. Pastor Jeff is a prolific and passionate teacher of the Word of God. He has a heart for people and has counseled many throughout his years of ministry and community service. He has a strong desire to see men of God reach their full potential as fathers, husbands, and leaders. He is willing to go to great lengths to see individuals and families restored, often at his own expense, sacrificing personal time and sleep. Pastor Jeff received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix and is currently employed at Georgia-Pacific, where he has over 30 years of service.

Pastor Vermonica is not only a prayer warrior but also a dynamic and inspirational preacher and teacher of the Word of God. She is a graduate of Our Lady of the Lake College of Nursing, where she earned an Associate Degree in Nursing. She is the author of The Village Experience and is also an entrepreneur, stylist, event coordinator, interior decorator, counselor, and accomplished businesswoman. Together, they are making a profound impact not only in Baker but across the nation by “building the Kingdom of God, one family at a time.”

They are on a mission to fulfill the Great Commission according to Matthew 28:19–20 (KJV): “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.” In addition to preaching and teaching the uncompromised Word of God, they founded a nonprofit organization in 2006, Second Chance Marriage and Family Services. This organization provides counseling to married couples, individuals considering marriage, and families with low to no income. They also visit and minister to the sick in homes, hospitals, and nursing homes; assist with community outreach through food distribution sites; support local schools; and travel across the country attending conventions through their business, A Perfect Piece LLC.

In 2013, after serving faithfully under various local ministries, God spoke to Pastor Jeff to start a ministry focused on families and kingdom building. After much prayer and fasting, United Family Worship Center was birthed. Both pastors were well prepared for the assignment, having received a wealth of Christian knowledge, guidance, and training from respected leaders including Apostle Leroy and Evangelist Christine Banks (Open Door Fellowship), the late Pastor Ernest Morris (Rollins Road Assembly), Pastor Cross Richard (New Creation), Dr. Ronald Jackson (Jubilee Fellowship), and Apostle Dr. Lawrence D. Hardy (The House of Judah), where Pastor Jeff served as Assistant Pastor. They count it a blessing to have had such phenomenal leaders pour into their lives for the advancement of the gospel.

The initial service, which included the installation and ordination of Pastors Jeffery and Vermonica, was officiated by Apostle Dr. Lawrence D. Hardy and held at 920 Main Street in Baker, Louisiana. Following this, the church officially opened its doors with its first service attended by eight individuals. From those humble beginnings, United Family Worship Center has grown to well over one hundred members and now maintains an online presence that reaches thousands.

God continues to show Himself faithful and worthy of all glory, honor, and praise as they carry out the mission to “build the kingdom one family at a time.” Their prayer is to see every individual achieve total victory in relationships, family, finances, and faith through the teaching, preaching, and demonstration of biblical principles.
